Are you ready for a remarkable, firsthand experience?

Don't miss the magic and ambience of Downton Abbey as the Season 3 premiere of Masterpiece's hit British drama is previewed in full splendor at the Essex Cinemas one day before the rest of North America on Vermont's biggest movie screen!

You may also "Read-All-About-It!" in these papers:

Come and experience for yourself the glamour, the gourmet and the excitement of a bygone era contained within a Downton Abbey-inspired weekend where going back in time is rewarded with the ultimate present-day gastronomical banquet that, depending on your tickets, could include a British Tea Reception, an eight-station food court designed after the Downton fairgrounds, a six course full service dinner, and a Sunday Brunch.

A feast for all of your senses... catch up and celebrate the start of Season 3 with the same friends who live and breathe Downton Abbey at The Essex Resort & Spa where the Atrium will be transformed into the historical period of the twenties by set designer Jeffrey Modereger.

Anna Post from The Emily Post Institute will run the "Downton Etiquette Challenge" at "VPT's Experience inspired by Downton Abbey" where guests may compete in the "box o'china" trials setting places and being judged for speed and accuracy. Other competitions include the "Curtsy", the "Hand-kissing", and period trivia contests. Of course it all connects back to etiquette!

For those who love to dress up and paint the town we have a very special, 12-category, Downton Abbey-inspired fashion competition run by Karen Augusta of Augusta Auctions, often seen on Antiques Roadshow! Joining her to judge will be Edward Maeder, former Director of Costume & Textile Collections at LA County Museum of Art and Historic Deerfield and Jennifer Karpin of Morning Glorious Vintage of Brattleboro.

Celebrity mixologist Charlotte Voisey will be designing a Downton Abbey inspired cocktail menu where cocktails are paired with characters. Farrell Distributing will be providing a selection of specialty beers and fine wines to be paired with the culinary menus for allcatered events. Brian McQueenie of OUIDRAM Whisky Tastings will oversee the whisky selection and conduct tastings true to the period setting featuring Glenfiddich and Grant's Scotch whiskies.

Tickets to "VPT's Experience inspired by Downton Abbey" include your donation to Vermont Public Television and all food, drinks and entertainment! Who could ask for a more amazing holiday gift? A gift that keeps giving, just like Vermont Public Television.
