Arnd Sievers, Food & Beverage Director at The Essex Resort & Spa (Vermont's Culinary Resort) and European Certified Master Chef, together with Executive Chef Shawn Calley have created a four-square of culinary events within VPT's Experience inspired by Downton Abbey.
Inspiration for dishes comes from Downton Abbey Cooks, a well known food blogger from Toronto who is passionate about Downton Abbey and who will be at the event to give a talk, "Great Food Has a History," on Sunday, January 6 and the famed 19th-century chef Auguste Escoffier, whose Le Guide Culinaire assisted Calley in creating a series of period-appropriate menus for the January weekend.
Celebrity mixologist Charlotte Voisey who will be attending the event and offering a seminar, "Botanical Bartending" on Sunday, January 6 in the Tavern, has created the cocktail menu.
