About Peter WelchPeter Welch started serving the people of Vermont in 1980 when he was elected to the Vermont State Senate. In 2006, he was elected to his first term as Vermont's lone U.S. Representative and was reelected in 2008. Welch serves on the Committee on Energy and Commerce, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct.
