About Vermont Makers

Inspired by the national PBS multi-platform initiative, Makers: Women Who Made America, VPT has produced seven profiles of trailblazing Vermont women who have made a difference in their communities.

If you know a Vermont Maker who's making a difference in her community, let us know at production@vpt.org.

Melanie Hubbard recently started the club Cyber You at Rutland High School where she is a senior. Cyber You is comprised of 11 students who educate others on the severity of cyber bullying and who feel passionate about ending bullying not only at school but around the state. They offer tips and advice to ensure cyber safety through posters and in school announcements. Melanie recently gave a presentation to her former middle school and she hopes to change the cyber bullying policy in every school she visits.

Check out her website, the club Facebook page. And you can follow her on Twitter as well to keep up to date with the latest cyber tips @cyber_you.
