A masterful performance that meets at the crossroads of comic books, science-fiction movies, and the rich universe of graffiti, Cirque Éloize’s latest spectacular, iD, is a dazzling spectacle set within a fantastic urban landscape where artists perform breathtaking feats of athleticism and beauty. With 14 artists performing in 10 circus disciplines, Cirque Éloize discovers a new world based in the heart of a futuristic city that revolves around breakdance and hip-hop, directed by Jeannot Painchaud and choreographed by Mourad Merzouki of Compagnie Käfig. Backed by a soaring musical soundtrack and coupled with video projections, iD explores self-expression in a decidedly visual culture that is playful, energized, youthful, and transcendent.
