"Our Hidden Heritage: 1609 and Lake Champlain"
Commissioned and produced by the Flynn, and created by filmmaker Caro Thompson, the production will include Abenaki, Mohawk and French-Canadian dance, song, and drumming as well as clips from the film Champlain: The Lake Between.
The following events include a screening of the Emmy-nominated documentary film, Champlain: The Lake Between, and discussion with filmmaker, Caro Thompson.

Champlain: The Lake Between is one element of the project "Lake Champlain Voyages of Discovery: Bringing History Home," funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Project partners are the Chimney Point State Historic Site, Vt. Division for Historic Preservation, Bixby Memorial Free Library, and Vermont Public Television with Broadwing Productions.
Additional funding for educational resource development, outreach and distribution was provided by the Lake Champlain Basin Program and the Vermont Community Foundation. |
