Paying for College: A VSAC
How-to Special
Live with Viewer Call-in
Tues., Oct. 19, at 8 pm
Help
with higher education is available from the Vermont
Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) on VPT's debut of "Public
Square." Host Rob Michalak will interview VSAC staff members about
the resources available to help Vermonters apply for and secure financial
aid for college.
In addition, VSAC counselors will be in the VPT studio during the broadcast
so that viewers can call and speak privately with a representative. A toll-free
number will be announced during the broadcast.
VSAC was established by the Vermont Legislature in 1965 to help Vermonters
plan and pay for education beyond high school. This is the first of two
VPT broadcasts with VSAC; next spring, "Public Square" will tackle
adult learning opportunities.
"Paying for College: A VSAC How-to Special" will be repeated on
Sat., Oct. 23, at 8:30 am.
