Vermont's
Deer Herd Update
|
Aired: Thursday, April
6th, 2006 at 8 pm
Want a chance to make
your voice heard on last year's changes to the state's deer hunting regulations?
Then be sure to tune in for this live call-in program.
The biggest change in Vermont deer hunting regulations in more than 100
years occurred during the 2005 season. Following a vigorous public process,
sweeping changes were enacted such as redefining a legal buck and banning
the baiting of deer.
Host
Lawrence Pyne and a panel of experts will discuss the effects of these
changes on the deer herd and hopes for the future. The panelists are:
- Rob Borowske, chairman of the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Board;
- Wayne Laroche, Vermont Fish & Wildlife commissioner; and
- Col. Robert Rooks, Vermont Fish & Wildlife director of law enforcement.
Viewers are invited to participate with comments and questions.
A toll-free number will be announced during the program.
