What you're saying
about Windy Acres...
"I immensely enjoyed 'Windy Acres.' A rare down-to-earth comedy with great homespun
humor, Vermont or otherwise. I think the casting is great and they complement
each other perfectly. I look forward eagerly to the coming episodes... wish they
were all 1 hour in length... absolutely perfect... lots of belly laughs... my
kudos."
"I watched 'Windy Acres' tonight a loved the show! When the episode
ended it was like I had lost a friend. I will surely be tuned in next week
for the next episode! To have homegrown humor like this is new and refreshing. A
sort of Vermonter's real view of the rest of the lower Mid-Atlantic States and
Flatlanders. I love many shows on VPT and will continue watching and contributing."
"After watching the first 10 minutes of 'Windy Acres,' I concluded the program
series is one of poor taste and changed channels. The presentation of sexuality
was particularly offensive. It came across to me as though Jay Craven and Rusty
DeWees have unresolved
issues of sexuality. I watch both 'Masterpiece Theater' and 'Mystery' regularly
and do not find the presentation of sexuality offensive. But 'Windy Acres' is
over the edge. In addition, I feel there should have been some statement before
the program began that it may be offensive to some viewers. In my opinion, that
program series should be withdrawn before people choose to withdraw their financial
support."
"We really enjoy the show . We were sorry it was over .We cannot wait for
next one . Thank you."
"I think 'Windy Acres' was funny and entertaining. I can't wait to see the
next episode. Rusty is the best of course."
"'Windy Acres' is insulting to those it aims to parody, without real substance
or compelling plot. The jokes, especially the sexual ones, were so poorly conceived,
and actually the entire script left me wondering how so many can support something
which at its essential substance is so bad. I must say, however, I enjoyed watching
it. I did laugh a lot but not where I was supposed to. Instead of homespun
comedy, it was more a reality program about pretentious Flatlander television
production at it its best, or worst. Either way maybe you could rename it 'Jay
Craven's Big Fat Ego'."
"Just to tell you I enjoyed 'Windy Acres,' and couldn't believe it when the
hour was up time really flew. I have enjoyed Rusty DeWees
for a while now and wish him and you lots of success with this new venture. Good
luck!"
