Windy
Acres
Synopsis
Windy Acres,
a groundbreaking new comedy series starring Vermont actor Rusty DeWees
as Lucien LaFlamme, tells the story of New York marketing ace Stephanie Burns
(Seana Kofoed), who loses her job at an upscale children's clothing company.
Anxious for a change, she discovers a website for "agricultural tourism,"
stuffs her two daughters into a borrowed car, and sets out for unexpected adventure
in the Green Mountains.
It's there that she encounters the eccentric townsfolk of bucolic Blodgett
Village and meets her match in love-starved dairy farmer Lucien LaFlamme.
Stephanie is charmed by the rustic environs of a working farm, but sparks instantly
fly when Lucien refuses to have anything to do with her or his uncle Ug's (Bill
Raymond) latest tourist scheme. What's more, the "quaint bed and breakfast"
is not quite what Ug represented over the Internet. In fact, Stephanie's 17-year-old
daughter Titania (Ariel Kiley) refuses to even get out of the car.
But, whether Lucien likes to admit it or not, he needs the help. And Stephanie
promises that, with her finely tuned corporate marketing skills, she can micro-manage
the farm into prosperity. Then Stephanie's 17-year-old daughter Titania falls
for local outlaw mechanic Turkey Tatro (Stivi Paskoski) ...
Of course, everything that can go wrong does, as the ensemble of characters makes
their way through seven weekly episodes of misadventure.
