TRANSMISSION ISSUE UPDATE - SOUTHERN VERMONT - Recent weather events caused severe ice damage to our Mt. Ascutney transmitter, and we are still experiencing transmission problems in southern Vermont. We will provide updates as we have them. More info is available here.

Satellite Reception

U.S. Satellite

Vermont PBS is available on Dish Network and DirecTV in all Vermont counties, as well as in Clinton, Franklin and Essex counties of New York; and Grafton and Sullivan counties of New Hampshire. Vermont PBS is part of the local channel package. Our main channel is available in HD on position 33. We have offered our other channels to both U.S. satellite providers, but neither one has added them yet.

Bennington and Windham County Information

Satellite companies offer local channels in the counties the Nielsen company assigns to the Burlington-Plattsburgh market. Windham and Bennington counties of Vermont belong to different TV markets, but you can still get Vermont PBS and other Vermont channels if you live in one of these counties. You may need to request them by specific call letters. To get Vermont PBS in these counties, ask your satellite provider to add WETK Burlington (that’s us) and any other Vermont broadcast channels you’d like. There should be no charge for adding Vermont channels.

Canadian Satellite Service

Bell Satellite TV does not carry Vermont PBS. If Bell is your provider, please request WETK-Burlington (call letters of our Burlington, Vermont channel). Bell’s Fibe TV does carry Vermont PBS on 224 (basic) and 1224 (HD).

If you have any questions about satellite reception, please email us at view@vermontpbs.org or call (802) 655-4800.
