Local food production and the regeneration of farmers are critical for a sustainable future. A new breed of designers, teaches how yield, function and the regeneration of landscapes are as important as aesthetics. The Intervale in Burlington, Vt., is a model for local and regional sustainable economic development. NRG Systems of Hinesburg, Vt., designed efficiency into their buildings.

This special guide, developed by 11th grade English students and their teachers at Vergennes Union High School, is designed for teachers to use in the classroom in conjunction with ReGeneration. It contains previewing activities, viewing activities and discussion questions, as well as field trips, special projects and guest speaker opportunities.
