This brand new, three-part detective series is set in contemporary Edinburgh, and adapted from Kate Atkinson's best-selling novels. Jason Issacs of "Harry Potter" and "The Patriot" stars as private investigator Jackson Brodie, the tough former soldier and policeman with a heart of gold. Brodie, haunted by a past family tragedy, struggles to balance his personal and professional life while coming to the rescue of the bereaved, the lost and the dysfunctional. The only witness to a drowning in the Firth of Forth, Jackson is on a desperate search for the victim's identity when he meets a crime novelist caught in a road rage incident. So begins a strange journey that also involves the wife and dominatrix of a comatose crook
