Champlain: The Lake Between
Explores Samuel de Champlain's 1609 arrival in the Lake Champlain region and its ensuing cultural history. When Champlain first came to the region, it had already been a multi-cultural landscape for thousands of years. For the next 150 years, trade alliances created both conflict and connections among Abenaki, Mohawk, French, English and Dutch people. The film features interviews and re-enactments set against the lake's natural beauty.
