Bob Wilson leaves the road behind and boards a boat with New England naturalist and storyteller Willem Lange. Willem opens a window to the wild rarely seen by the public as he and Bob trek around Isle au Haut, an island off the coast of Maine's Acadia National Park. Along the way they meet two bug doctors, learn which snails are edible and what mushrooms to avoid.
