With the Iraq war ending and operations winding down in Afghanistan, over 2.3 million troops will be coming home to make the transition to civilian life. While many have sustained visible wounds from combat, others will carry invisible psychological scars. What should Americans understand about this new generation of veterans and how can we help their transition to civilian life?
