Creatures of Island Kingdoms

Episode Guide »
Thousands of the archipelago's islands rose steaming out of the sea, born of dramatic volcanic eruptions. Over time these islands metamorphosed from isolated mountains of naked hot lava to comfortable homes for a multitude of the strangest animals on the planet -- from bats and birds of paradise, to Komodo dragons, monarch butterflies and elephants. In this episode viewers feast their eyes on the hidden treasures of these isolated oceanic wonderlands.
