OPEN LINES: Kids Connect on World Events OPEN LINES is a guided, moderated online message board that challenges teens to think about world events from new perspectives and to share their emotions, ideas and solutions with a global audience. The website also includes links for classroom activities and news headlines.

Visit PBS Kids Democracy Project to explore the three sections of the site How Does Government Affect Me?, President for a Day!, Inside the Voting Booth which were created based on the national civics standards for grades 3-6.
The activities on the website include teacher resources, lesson plans and offline activities that address national civics, math, and language arts curriculum standards for grades 3-6. Visit the educators area for a full listing.
