Co-presented with our public broadcasting brethren in Maine and New Hampshire, QUEST brings you the flora, the fauna and the facts about northern New England serving up our natural world with intriguing and entertaining stories.
QUEST is hosted by best-selling author and Maine fisherman Linda Greenlaw, and narrated by nature photographer and author Lang Elliot.
Extending the program’s impact and usefulness beyond the TV screen, QUEST provides activities and educational elements for the whole family, as well as science-related community resource guides and comprehensive lesson plans for educators at the middle and high school levels. The series includes episodes on wilderness, the seasons, wildlife, remote sensing, and food.
QUEST is produced by Maine Public Broadcasting, with major funding provided by the National Science Foundation. Additional funding is provided by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Maine Forest Products Council, and Irving Woodlands LLC. This is the first regional public television science series ever funded by the National Science Foundation.
