Since its premiere on PBS KIDS in 1983, Reading Rainbow has helped children build lasting relationships with books at home and in the classroom.

Unfortunately, as of Friday, August 28 Reading Rainbow was discontinued from the PBS national schedule.

Recorded Episodes
Schools that have recorded Reading Rainbow episodes for use in their classrooms should be made aware that the 65 episodes that aired during the 08-09 year must be erased by September 1, 2010, the remaining 88 episodes should be erased by October 1, 2009.
