A community collaboration funded in part by a grant to Vermont Public Television (VPT) from PBS and WETA, Washington, DC in conjunction with Ken Burns' series, "The War."

Project goals include:

• Bring families and generations together around a common experience


• Preserve (collect and document) the stories of Vermont veterans who fought in the war and their families


• Raise awareness about how WWII touched the lives of every family on every street in every town in America


• Increase Vermont and national archives
