June 2007
Summer Family Activities
As Vermont’s short spring gives way to summer, outdoor family activities take center stage. The warm months, too, will pass quickly. So, take full advantage of the pleasures that only summertime can offer. Whether it’s athletic challenge, pure relaxation, entertainment or getting back to nature that gets you out of the house, Vermont has it all.
Enjoy the lovely weather and scenery by biking or hiking one of Vermont’s many trails; camping and swimming at a state park; spending time exploring our endless waterways; or taking in the special sights and sounds of the season at a local fair or festival.
And if the weather isn’t cooperating, visit a local library or museum. Before you know it, the weather will clear and you’ll be back outdoors applying more sunscreen.
