Literacy

PBS Kids Share a Story is a national campaign that helps kids develop reading and language skills.
Ready to Learn is designed to enhance the learning readiness of preschool and early elementary children by offering workshops for parents, teachers and childcare providers around Vermont.

Around the State

The Vermont Humanities Council offers a number of reading programs, including Reading Vermont, Never Too Early and Read with Me and reading programs for adults and communities.

National

The National Children's Book and Literacy Alliance's main goal is to make issues related to young people's literacy, literature, and libraries an ongoing priority on our national agenda.
